Meet Zach
Most people think martial arts is about fighting.
Zach knows it’s about becoming the kind of person who doesn’t quit—when you’re tired, when you’re stressed, when life is busy, and when the easy choice would be to stay the same.
He’s spent the last two decades in martial arts and over a decade coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, boxing, and kickboxing—working with complete beginners, recreational students, and competitive athletes. Along the way, he built and managed a full-time training program under the UFC GYM brand, developing coaches, growing membership, and creating programs that people actually stick with.
Because that’s what Zach cares about most: real progress that lasts.
What Zach believes
Zach’s coaching philosophy is simple:
- Technique matters, but so does the environment you learn it in.
- Confidence is trained, not wished for.
- The best program is the one you can sustain—week after week, month after month.
- A great gym is built on culture: high standards, no ego, and people who want to see each other win.
What it feels like to train with Zach
Training under Zach is structured, challenging, and surprisingly welcoming. He can teach a first-timer how to move safely and intelligently—and he can also sharpen a competitor’s game with the details that make the difference.
He’s known for coaching that’s:
- Clear and technical (you’ll understand why something works)
- Practical (built for real-life self-defense, fitness, and performance)
- High-accountability (you’ll be pushed—but never belittled)
